RAM Mounts D Size uses a 2.25" (57.2 mm) ball-and-socket system. It is designed for more robust mounting assemblies and larger or heavier devices such as rugged tablets, laptops and other equipment used in vehicles, logistics and industrial environments.
The RAM Mounts D Size system is modular, allowing compatible bases, socket arms, ball adapters and device holders to be combined into a complete mounting solution. Its larger dimensions make it suitable where a more robust system is required than B or C Size.
D Size can be used for rugged tablets, laptops and other larger devices installed in vehicles, industrial equipment or fixed workstations. Device weight, arm length, mounting method and operating load should all be considered when configuring the system.
